“Discover Greatness: An Illustrated History of Negro Leagues Baseball,” an exhibit on loan to Historic Richmond Town on Staten Island from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, is an exhibition exploring the American narrative of Negro Leagues Baseball.
Featuring over 80 photographs, the exhibition delves into the rich history of Negro Leagues Baseball spanning from the late 1800s to the 1960s.
Through the images in the exhibit, visitors can journey through the triumphs and challenges faced by African American baseball players, shedding light on their talent and resilience in the face of adversity.
“Discover Greatness” serves as a tribute to the pioneering athletes who made significant contributions to the sport despite facing segregation and discrimination.
The exhibit debuts May 10 and runs through June 30, 2024.
