‘WWHL’: Meghan McCain Wants Andy Cohen To Moderate A Debate Between Trump And Biden

Meghan McCain wants to bring Bravo to politics. The Republican podcast host admitted she would spend “lots of money” to see Andy Cohen moderate a debate between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump — after all, he’s had plenty of practice moderating years of Real Housewives reunions.

McCain appeared alongside Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga on Sunday night’s (May 12) episode of Watch What Happens Live, where a virtual fan asked if she’d rather moderate a debate between Trump and Biden or Gorga and her estranged sister-in-law Teresa Giudice.

“I think Trump and Biden would be easier, respectfully,” McCain said during the After Show, to which Cohen replied, “I do too!”

The Real Housewives executive producer then recalled a heated moment from last year’s RHONJ reunion where even he started yelling in an attempt to calm the cast down.

“It’s so frustrating and I feel for you sometimes because no one stops speaking,” Gorga chimed in, before Cohen added, “That’s the problem. But Trump is the same way. He wants to get the last word.”

Gorga compared Trump and Giudice’s fighting tactics, telling Cohen, “That’s my sister-in-law, yes.” She continued, “I’m ready to have the conversation. The problem is I’d rather spit facts. I’d rather, you go, I go. But it never works that way.”

Following Gorga’s clear dig at Giudice, McCain joked, “I think 81-year-old men would be easier to wrangle than this. I don’t think I could handle it.”

While Cohen said he thought it would be “really hard” to moderate a debate between the 2024 presidential nominees, McCain had full faith in the talk show host’s abilities.

“I think you could do it. I’ve actually said this at things,” she told him. “I think there’s a few people that would be really good at it and I think it would actually be healthier to have the country have different moderators. I would pay lots of money to watch you do it.”

Cohen then concluded, “I would love to do that. Put me in.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
