Following the fix applied to the Galaxy S22 family‘s One UI 6.1 update last week, Samsung is now ready to bring the latest version of its skin to its best selling mid-rangers from last year.
So, both the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy A34 are now receiving the update to One UI 6.1 in the company’s home of South Korea.
Unsurprisingly, these two aren’t getting any Galaxy AI features with the update, as those are still exclusive to Samsung’s flagship lines (the S-series and the foldables).
The Galaxy A54’s new version is labeled A546SKSU4CXDC for the Galaxy Quantum 4 (which is the name of the A54 in Korea), while the A34 gets A346NKSU5CXD5.
Both of these come with the April 2024 security patch level, even though we’re already in May, so we’re not sure how Samsung will proceed here – whether it will issue a separate update this month with the May security patch or just wait until June and jump straight to that.
Now that the ball’s finally rolling, expect Galaxy A54 and A34 units in other markets to soon receive One UI 6.1 too.
