Karol G Broke Records on Her ‘Mañana Será Bonito’ Latin American Tour

Who else is doing it like La Bichota? Over the weekend, Karol G concluded her Latin American run of shows for the Mañana Será Bonito tour in São Paulo, ending a record-breaking, 12-country, 15-city tour during which she sold more than a million tickets, according to Live Nation.

For the last show of her LatAm run, the Colombian star brought out stars Kevin O Chris and DJ Dennis for a live rendition of “Tá OK” and later welcomed Pabllo Vittar for the “Sua Cara” remix of Major Lazer’s “En La Cara.”

“Life keeps teaching me we’re never on top of anything. That’s why it’s better to remember where you come from than to believe where you are so you can start from scratch in every place possible. There is always a new challenge, new challenges, new dreams to fulfill,” Karol wrote on Instagram over the weekend. “Thank you for being so welcoming, for the energy that multiplied the people in that place and made me feel so special!!! Yesterday was my first official show in Brazil and the last of Mañana Será Bonito tour. I take the most beautiful moments with me.”

Across her massive tour, Karol became the first Latina artist to sell out Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca three nights in a row. She also sold more than 100,000 tickets over two nights in Costa Rica, the most for an international tour.

Karol G additionally became the first and only artist thus far to sell out Venezuela’s Estadio Monumental, the first female artist to sell out Estadio Nacional in Chile, and became the first female artist to sell out two nights at Dominican Republic’s Estadio Olímpico.

After the successful run in Latin America, Karol G will bring the Mañana Será Bonito tour, which celebrates her Latin Grammy-winning album, to the road in Europe starting in June. She’ll stop in Zurich, Amsterdam, London, and Paris, before headlining four consecutive nights at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

“Those true fans, who have been there since Karol was a local singer in Medellín, understood the magnitude of her MetLife moment. It was proof of how global Karol has become, and how far her career has taken her,” wrote Rolling Stone‘s Julyssa Lopez in a review of her New York City show. “[Fans gave] Karol a triumphant standing ovation, all of the fanfare fit for pop royalty.”
